Sterling Classical School is part of ACAA (Austin Christian Athletic Association) and TCAF (Texas Christian Athletic Federation). We offer 7 team sports beginning in 4th grade.

Building School Spirit Through Friendly Competition: The House System

With a history dating back centuries in England, the house system is finding new life in classical schools across the US and even Ivy League institutions like Harvard and Yale. While it might seem like dividing the school initially (into four houses in our case), this system has actually become a powerful force for unity.

The house system is an ongoing competition within the school that fosters a strong sense of community. It breaks down cliques by bringing students of different ages together, creating a sense of belonging for everyone. Plus, it's simply a lot of fun! At Sterling we have four Logic Houses: AUSTEN, LEWIS, SHAKESPEARE, TOLKIEN and two Rhetoric Houses: 2 Rhetoric Houses: Athens and Sparta​​
