Grammar Spring Showcase

Our students are excited to show off all the exciting things they have been learning in class during our Grammar Spring Showcase coming up on Thursday, April 20th. Parents & Grandparents are invited to attend the performance which will be held in the Grammar Cafeteria. There will also be a chance to visit your child’s classroom either before or after the performance. Please see the schedule below for performance and room visit times for each grade…

All Things Field Day

What is Field Day?

Field Day is an exciting outdoor event held each April at Sterling. Students participate in games on the lawn and rotate to different stations as a class. Parents volunteer to help at each game station. 

When is Field Day?

Field Day is Thursday, April 13th from 8:15am-12:30pm. Grammar school and 12th grade will return to school after 12:30pm. 5th-8thth grade will participate in afternoon games.

How can I help?

Parents can volunteer (and earn service hours) to help run games, be a classroom helper, provide water bottles, and more. See our Sign Up Genius lists below...

What's for lunch?

Chick-fil-A is offered through HotLunch (https://sterlinglunch.ahotlunch.com/login) or students can bring a lunch from home. As usual all HotLunch orders are due 10 days prior. 

Kona Ice will be here serving snow cones after lunch. Students may bring cash from home to purchase a snow cone.

What do we wear?

Students may wear their special Field Day t-shirts with shorts or pants. If you ordered a shirt they will be delivered on April 11th. If you did not purchase a Field Day shirt, students will need to wear a plain colored t-shirt in a matching color to their grade. Colors for each grade are as follows...

Shirt Colors By Grade:
 
Preschool: Deep Purple
Kinder: Island Yellow
1st: Scuba Blue
2nd: Safety Green
3rd: Tennessee Orange
4th: Kelly Green
5th: California Blue
6th: Maroon

 

7th-12th grade students wear their House shirts.

What time do I pick up my student?

The entire school (preschool-12th) will dismiss at 2:30pm with no electives.
