Michelle Cecil

5th-7th grade science

Michelle Cecil lives in Lago Vista.  She has two daughters and one son. Her oldest daughter is a college athlete, a women’s soccer goalkeeper for UT/Tyler.  Her middle daughter is a full-time surgical vet-tech in a work-study college program.  Her son is a Rhetoric student here at Sterling Classical School.

Mrs. Cecil has a degree in education from the University of Texas, with a specialization in reading.  After teaching a few years in the public school system, she earned a degree in paramedicine and spent some time working in emergency services. When her kids reached school age, she went back to the classroom. At her home in Lago, Mrs. Cecil takes care of too many critters to count.  Students may be surprised by a guest creature in science class.

Mrs. Cecil is honored and excited to be joining the Sterling family.  She LOVES teaching, especially science!  Her goal is that each day at Sterling, she will inspire her students to see the wonders in the world around them. As the Psalmist proclaims in Psalm 150:2, “Praise Him for His mighty works; praise His unequaled greatness!”
